As representatives of “The Amber Spark” creative studio, Florinda and Niels will attend RADMIN: A Festival of Administration in Bristol, UK, for a deep collective examination of how business - in the arts and beyond - could be different. At a time where the legitimacy of ‘business as usual’ has been called spectacularly into doubt, new thinking and practice around how we do business is urgently sought. Through a combination of formal and social gatherings between individuals, collectives, artists, producers, administrators and creative organisers, the question ‘What can artists do for business?’ will be explored. This artist-led summit will reconsider the 'dull' spaces of administration, managing, trading and maintenance, not as a set of largely hostile impediments which invade or co-opt arts practice, but as sites for critical and creative enquiry, radical histories, experiments, politics, wild imaginaries and meaningful work.

Project title: Domna - A Queer Piano Recital

Tom has been invited to perform at the Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival, in Greece in June 2019. This festival aims to challenge the social and religious barriers that have affected the LGBT+ community in Greece, whilst also exposing Thessaloniki to high quality contemporary art and performance. Tom will compose the final piece of music for the recital programme, based on the festival's theme of 'Eros'. As well as showcasing his work to an international audience, his vision is to one day organise queer art events in Malta, involving international contributors, thus enhancing queer and LGBT+ visibility and high quality contemporary art in Malta. Having been invited to perform in this festival in Thessaloniki, this would be an opportunity to see what can be learned from their festival and to network with fellow performers and organisers for future years.

Project title: Archives and legacy - recontextualizing relationships

Raffaella Zammit, executive director of the Gabriel Caruana Foundation and Elyse Tonna collaborator of the Foundation intend to visit The Hague and Amsterdam, the Netherlands in May 2019. The aim is to further develop two projects being undertaken by the GCF in collaboration with other organisations. The first project involves a collaboration with the Netherland’s based Instrument Inventors Initiative, the Malta-based Mighty Box, Wen Chin Fu, Andrea Pullicino, Elyse Tonna and Raffaella Zammit. The result is the creation of musical instruments using a specially developed clay recipe. These instruments will be used during performances, where the audience will be able to participate with Wen Chin and the distinct musical piece created will trigger interactive audio visualisations created by Mighty Box. The second project is a collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv were archival ephemera relating to Gabriel Caruana and artworks of his students from the Fondazzjoni Kreattivita collection will be exhibited in the Netherlands. Archival material from the private collection of Bonne Ten Kate a Netherland’s based photographer and long-time friend of Caruana will also be part of this exhibition.

Project title: TRANSITION at Classical:NEXT - Rotterdam

Tricia Dawn Williams, along with Ruben Zahra and Atau Tanaka will be presenting TRANSITION in Rotterdam during the Classical:NEXT live showcase. TRANSITION is a unique experience that transforms the piano recital into an interdisciplinary performance featuring motion capture technology, video-art, electronic music and extended piano technique. This eclectic music journey kicks off with ‘Suspensions’ by Atau Tanaka, were the pianist manipulates and triggers electronic music in real time with her gestures. The expo exhibits the work of labels, publishers, agents, festivals, associations and others, and serves as a meeting point for all delegates. TRANSITION is one of eleven projects selected out over 200 proposals pitched for the 2019 edition. This year the live showcase will feature projects from 9 countries: The Netherlands, Australia, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Ireland, France, Germany, UK and Malta. This is also the first time that Malta has been included in the live showcase of Classical:NEXT. There will be live showcases, conferences, project pitches and expo. The conference section is set up to offer presentations, seminars, discussions, one-to-one and roundtable mentoring and other formats to help delegates keep up with changes, trends and innovations.

Project title: Walks in Prijedor

When Sarah was touring the town of Prijedor, Bosnia & Herzegovina with locals, she has documented through photography several boulevards, cafes, bars, eateries and fast food places, monuments, the river and the mountains there. She will now be exhibiting her photographs at the Kozara Museum in Prijedor. There are more than a thousand artworks in their collection, including the works of some internationally recognised artists including; Radovan Kragulj, Branko Miljus, Savo Pekovic, Ljubomir Stahov, Mladen Karan and Radenko Milak. There is room for future collaboration with this museum, especially since they have shown great interest in her work. She will also take this opportunity to network and to develop connections with curators and artists in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Project title: Turps / PADA art residency in Lisbon

Wioletta will be participating in the PADA art residency programme in conjunction with Turps Banana Art School in London. PADA / Turps art residency promotes and facilitates local and international artists through its residency and exhibitions programmes in Barreiro, Lisbon. PADA is located within an Industrial Park and this informs the central mission of the studios - to be in a place of production. PADA encourages residents to make ambitious work and push the production of their artwork in new areas. At the end of the month visiting artists will be invited to exhibit the work produced whilst at PADA in the onsite gallery space. The month-long residency will accommodate up to 6 painters at a time who will each receive accommodation just a short walk from a generous space in a large open plan studio building and a painting programme across the month, as well as access to a workshop, technical support and guided visits into Lisbon. At the end of the second week there will also be one to one tutorials in the studios. In the 4th week there will be a group crit on the exhibition. It will be down to the artists to initiate peer to peer mentoring as well as organising crits with the local artists.

Project title: Gravity - Malta/Mexico

Simon Sammut has been invited by the Secretaría de Turismo y Cultura Morelos and the Centro Morelense De Las Artres to conduct a series of activities in the city of Cuernavaca Morelos (Mexico) with the purpose of sharing his experiences and skills with the musical artistic community of that City. Along with his collaborator Omar Vázquez from Mexico, they have generating eight themes, which reflect the musical tastes, sounds and feelings of the two artists. They are currently in the process of finalising their first album together as a duet called "Gravity" which involves musicians from Malta and Mexico. The album covers different sonorities and styles like jazz fusion, funk, latin, world music among others. In order to take advantage of the excellent relationship which has developed between the two artists and the other musicians from the respective countries it is proposed that the eight compositions are performed live for the first time in Mexico in April 2019. Simon Sammut will also be joined by Melchior Busuttil from Malta to perform in Mexico together with Omar Vázquez and five other musicians from Mexico.

Project title: Cryptic Street - Tallinn Music Week

Cryptic Street will be performing in Tallinn Music Week. Held each spring in Tallinn, Estonia since 2009, Tallinn Music Week (TMW) is a weeklong celebration of talent, curiosity, creativity, freedom and equality. Having started out as a music industry conference and showcase festival, TMW has broadened its concept further into an all-encompassing city festival, covering arts, design, technology, city space, food culture and various societal issues. Already in its 11th year, TMW is one of the most acclaimed city festivals and new economy conferences – a major meeting point for Eastern, Western and Central European creative communities. Its attendance has reached 35, 000 people, with 1000 music industry executives attending the showcases each year. Tallinn Music Week has been lauded by esteemed journals such as the Guardian and the New York Times as an innovative festival. Project title: Remnant

‘Remnant’ is a collective exhibition in which a group of Maltese artists were invited to collaborate with French artists and display their artwork within the gallery of the National School for Photography (ENSP) in Arles, as part of their international festival, between the 13th and the 17th of May 2019. The exhibition allows for the exploration of photography beyond its traditional form and parameters, by making use of new-media processes such as 3D printing, video and multimedia installation. The body of work which will be exhibited in this collective show shares common themes in the areas of socio-political reactions to the Maltese urban environment. Curated by the renowned Japanese photographer Tadashi Ono, ‘Remnant’ will focus on the exploration of the Maltese identity through its culture and representations in historical, traditional and contemporary architecture, as well as through research derived from the National Archives of Malta.

Project title: Lanċa ġejja u oħra sejra (working title)

“Lanċa ġejja u oħra sejra” (working title), is a collaborative project of dance theatre, that will evolve in four different countries. The dance piece will explore the journey of three Maltese Dance Artists living abroad; they will be exploring how moving away from their homeland has shaped their lives, their practice and their movement. They will be exposing their work throughout 4 cities starting off with Malta then moving to Berlin, London and Cavigliano and finally bringing the work back to Malta. They will be delivering workshops, conducting open rehearsals/showings and delivering public discussions. They will be rehearsing, researching and collaborating at Theaterhaus Berlin Mitte where Sara is based. In Cavigliano, where Rochelle is currently based, they will be working on the narrative, intention and structure of the piece and working on the overall arc of the dance piece. They will also meet and network with artists whose focus is the use of Props and Physical Theatre. The fourth phase will bring the dancers to London, where Maria is based, and where they have also been invited by Jo Leahy; artistic director of Havering Dance Festival, who will provide them with an artistic residency. There they will be working closely with the artistic director who will give them direction from a movement perspective. They will clean up the structure and work with the final version of the music and aim to fine tune the final execution of their movement and intentions.

Project title: 13th Belgrade International Poetry and Book Festival

Immanuel Mifsud will be presenting his poetry collection “Penelope Waits” at the International Poetry Festival in Belgrade. The festival is one of the most prestigious literary festivals from former Yugoslavia. For this year's edition, the festival includes readings by poets from different parts of Europe, including the former Eastern bloc. The festival boasts of twice being awarded the Star of Belgrade, making it one of the most important cultural events in the Serbian capital. It has also been given recognition by EFFE. This is the second consecutive year that Immanuel has been invited to this festival. Excerpts from this book will be the main corpus of his presentation there. Treci Trg, who are both the organizers of the festival and his publishers in Serbia have also prepared a special evening where the book will be presented to the Serbian readers and critics.

Julia Gauci attended a rigorous audition process in London earlier this year. The 1st Audition was held on the 3rd February 2019. She passed that audition and was selected to attend a 2nd audition on the 6th April 2019. She also passed that audition and was then selected to form part of the The National Youth Ballet (NYB) UK 2019 Performacne Company. Over ten days, as a NYB Company member, Julia shall rehearse and then perform a variety of new ballets with world-renowned choreographers, established industry professionals and excellent teachers. At the end of the 10 days, the entire company will perform their ballets at The Crescent Theatre in Birmingham and also at the world-renowned Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London.

She will be performing in three different cities, Havana (27th January to 2nd February, Cienfuegos (3rd February-5th February), and Santiago de Cuba (7th February to 9th February). They will be performing in theatres and will give chamber music and flute lessons in music schools and conservatories.

Gaultinaus will feature in three concerts in Latvia, wholly devoted to Maltese music. This Latvia concert-tour ensues from an exchange programme entered into with the Foundation "Sing Latvia" - the organizers of the Riga A Cappella Festivals - and the Riga Orthodox Chamber Choir "Blagovest". The first leg of the exchange has already seen the Latvian choir participating in the 2019 edition of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music in Malta last March. Hence, as per the reciprocal agreement, the Latvian counterparts will be fully organizing the artistic and logistical aspects of this Latvian concert-tour for Malta.

Enrique Tabone will be participating in the OSTRALE Contemporary Art Biennale 2019 in Dresden, Germany over the summer months. The theme of the OSTRALE Contemporary Art Biennale 2019 is ISMs. In keeping with this, Enrique’s work lines up with two themes explored extensively by the curators: feminism and womanism. The latter juxtaposes feminist work from Europe with that of African women artists. Enrique’s work entitled OM, will be exhibited in conjunction with work by the German-Jamaican artist Sonia E Barrett, who is one of the main exponents associated with feminism and womanism at OSTRALE 2019. Enrique is the only female artist from Malta at the 2019 Contemporary Art Biennale in Dresden.

Project Title: Production Management for Rave & Behave at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019

The exportation and production management of Rave & Behave by the New Victorians, an interactive children's show, that exposes audiences to music-technology and songwriting, at the Pleasance Theatre during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is probably the world's largest arts festival. In 2018 the festival ran for 25 days and featured more than 55,000 performances of 3,548 different shows in 317 venues. The Pleasance Theatre's KingDome is part of the Pleasance Kidzone at the festival. The Pleasance is considered one of the 'Big Four', that is, one of the four most prestigious Fringe venues. It is the only venue at the Fringe to have a dedicated children's programme and sees loyal families returning every year.

Project Title: Participation in the Encounters Film Festival (Bristol, UK)

‘Filfla’, a short animation that brings together traditional and new art will be screened at the “Encounters Festival”, which is the longest running short film festival in the UK, as part of a Mediterranean country focus including shorts from Malta and Cyprus. Done in an illustration/comic style inspired from the cell animation tradition, Filfla is a self-funded work done by visual artist Fabrizio Ellul. The story follows a woman who goes to look for a boy on the mystical island of Filfla, where a terrifying creature is lurking in its midst. The short animation explores Maltese myth and folk in a story of love, grief, perseverance and hope. Filfla has also been a finalist at the French Riviera Film Festival and official selections at the Valletta Film Festival and Kinemastik International Short Film Festival. Encounters Festival in the UK presents one of the world’s best-known showcases and meeting points for new and established international short film, animation and moving image talent. Encounters is now the leading gateway to the world’s most prestigious short film awards including Academy Awards, BAFTAs and the European Film Awards.

Project Title: Art Residency at Fundación 'ace para el Arte Contemporaneo, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Artist Kristina Borg has been selected and invited to participate in a four-week production residency as part of the 'acePIRAR 2019 International Program at Fundación 'ace para el Arte Contemporaneo, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The residency will take place in September - October 2019, concluding with an exhibition, organised by the same organisation. The ́acePIRAR / Artist in Residence International Program, with a special focus on printmaking, is one of the major projects developed by Fundación 'ace para el Arte Contemporaneo. Fundación 'ace is a non-profit organisation that encourages the professional development of artists in the field of contemporary art, and it focuses on innovative practices and international cultural exchange together with community development initiatives. The foundation serves as a bridge to link foreign artists with artists from Buenos Aires and other Argentinian provinces. During the residency period Kristina Borg will be working on a series of prints, utilising the mono-printing and linocut printmaking techniques, while also exploring the silk aquatint and photo litho printmaking techniques. The final edition of prints will eventually illustrate her book publication entitled 'No Man’s Land: A journey around Marsamxett and the Grand Harbour' - a narrative that will be published in English and Maltese later on this year.

Project Title: Connecting Malta and Cuba through music

Nadia Debono was invited to Cuba by Eduardo Martin, composer and director of 'V ENCUENTRO de Guitarra Identidades Festival', with Cuban guitarist Ahmed Dickinson with whom she had performed at the Malta Arts Festival 2017. She will be joined by another Maltese musician, flutist Fiorella Camilleri. The festival in Cuba has been running for the past 7 years, and next year's edition will be dedicated to the Cuban composer Leo Brouwer and he will be attending all the concerts there. The Maltese musicians will be discovering and performing chamber works of new compositions by the famous composer, and exchanging new ideas to promote both cultures. They will also be giving masterclasses for both chamber music and violin/viola.

Project Title: Literary translation: Promoting the translation of Maltese literature and presenting in a key international translation conference in South Africa

Claudine Borg will be attending as well as presenting her work at an international conference on translation in South Africa. The EST Congress is one of the two main international conferences focusing on translation. It is organised by the European Society for Translation Studies every three years and it brings together translation scholars and practising translators from all over the world. The 9th EST Congress 2019 will take place from 9 till 13 September 2019 at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Her abstract entitled Literary translation live! Insights into the factors influencing translatorial decision-making has been accepted for presentation as part of the panel, Cognition live! —The dynamic interaction with the environment. Her presentation delves into the factors influencing the decisions and choices made by a literary translator during the translation process. Apart from continents to learn from the diversity of approaches. Apart from the spaces for architects, firms or projects, in cooperation with Universities such as ETH Zurich and the TU Delft, the ECC will also present the Mies van der Rohe Foundation their Young Talent Architecture Award as well as the works of renowned architects Kengo Kuma, Peter Eisenman, Odile Decq, L35 Arquitecture, GMP Architekten and several others.

Project Title: Pre-Solo Exhibition Visit

Ryan Falzon will be travelling to Berlin for a pre-solo exhibition visit. The project has the intention of connecting the artist Ryan Falzon with the Berlin based gallery Organ Kritischer Kunst / Raum29, run by Pablo Hermann. The reason for this connection follows the invitation for a confirmed solo at the above mentioned gallery space in May/June/July 2020. A solo exhibition abroad is the next step in Falzon’s artistic career. Communication about the project had already started with the curator over emails and mainly Skype, with an interest in a selection of paintings created for WE LOST THE WAR (2017) being the favourites to be exhibited. The body of work, exhibited at Spazju Kreattiv in 2017 and funded by MAF, resonates with the political discourse that is exhibited at OKK/Raum29. Exhibiting works in this space would give the platform that Falzon had been searching for a number of years, and with the right contacts and exposure, this can be a huge leap forward in the career that Falzon intends to build on an international level, with Berlin being the main target over the years

Project Title: Building Bridges to South Africa

Building Bridges to South Africa involves members of the voluntary organisation Electronic Music Malta in a project which aims to bridge culturally the electronic music scenes of Malta and South Africa. This project brings together Luc Houtkamp and Edwin Balzan who are two Malta-based electronic music performers and composers. Luc and Edwin come from diverse generations and also music styles and their common interest in electronic music brought them together to collaborate in the VO Electronic Music Malta. Through this project, Balzan and Houtkamp aim to participate in the Indaba/ Unyazi Composition festival in South Africa which is the most important international electronic music festival of Africa on the 6th, 7th and 8th of December 2019. For this festival, they will compose and perform a 45 minute long electronic music piece together with South African performer Sazi  Dlamini. At this event they will also be holding lectures and workshops related to the way they use modular synthesisers and computers to compose and perform music.

Nidum has been invited to take part in a large architecture exhibition in the Schusev State Museum of Architecture in Moscow titled “Public Architecture - Future for Europe” and is hosted by ECC (European Cultural Centre) Russia. The exhibition will run from the 30th January until the 10th of May 2020, and is created in cooperation with ECC Italy, which also organises a large exhibition at the Architecture Biennial in Venice. The exhibition will present projects about social housing, green buildings, passive houses, train stations, airports, schools, museums and public buildings. Approximately 40 architects, firms and institutions will be taking over the exhibition in Moscow and aim to raise awareness, encourage debate and stimulate dialogue upon architecture across the continents to learn from the diversity of approaches. Apart from the spaces for architects, firms or projects, in cooperation with Universities such as ETH Zurich and the TU Delft, the ECC will also present the Mies van der Rohe Foundation their Young Talent Architecture Award as well as the works of renowned architects Kengo Kuma, Peter Eisenman, Odile Decq, L35 Arquitecture, GMP Architekten and several others.

Antoine Cassar will be participating in the Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín in Colombia. The Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín (Colombia) is widely known as one of the most prestigious literary festivals in the world, and the largest festival of poetry in terms of audience participation and engagement, drawing crowds of thousands from the city and beyond. Founded in 1991 with the mission to offer an alternative to Medellín’s reputation as a highly dangerous city, the festival received the Right Livelihood Award (also known as the Alternative Nobel Prize) in 2006, “for showing how creativity, beauty, free expression and community can flourish amongst and overcome even deeply entrenched fear and violence”.  In 2011, the organisational team of the Medellín festival founded the World Poetry Movement, bringing together the directors of 37 international poetry festivals from across the globe. The festival is also closely linked to Revista Prometeo, a printed literary magazine with a large online presence, including a huge archive of poetry videos. The readings, panels and workshops of the Medellín festival will be an opportunity not only to present the “Pasaporte poem” (which has already been circulating for ten years), to large crowds and in the company of internationally renowned authors, but also to recite new Spanish translations of extracts from the book “Erbgħin Jum” (Forty Days), a long poem on family violence, mental health, and walking as self-therapy. The book was awarded the 2018 Malta National Book Prize, and is shortlisted for the European Poet of Freedom award (based in Gdańsk, Poland).

Ensemble Offspring have invited pianist Gabi Sultana to join them for a performance at Sydney Opera House - Utzon Room, which will include world premieres of Australian and international composers, and Brigitta Muntendorf's "Shivers on Speed". Sultana has also been invited to play a solo recital at the Brett Whiteley Art Gallery as part of the "Classical Sundays series", curated by Emma Hunt. Gabi will be learning all the required repertoire for both performances, including a one-hour program of solo Philip Glass works, and all the ensemble works to be performed with the Ensemble Offspring. Rehearsals are planned every week day between the 16th and 23rd June in preparation for the concert on 24th June. The Brett Whiteley Gallery Studio is described as "Sydney's best kept secret". The "Classical Sundays series" is a limited series of performances that will inspire and delight in the intimate atmosphere of the Brett Whiteley Studio. Past performances have included the Sydney Cello Quartet; percussionist Kaylie Dunstan; and Duo Histoire (classical guitar and saxophone) to name a few. Once a year, curator of "Classical Sundays series" Emma Hunt commissions young composers to write compositions for various instrument combinations and presents them during the series. The Sydney Morning Herald describes the Utzon Room as follows: "The Utzon Room provides an intimate setting... one felt up close to a masterpiece that had been previously observed at greater distance".

Project Title: Taking the stand-up comedy show "Green Finger" to the Melbourne International Comedy festival

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one of the largest stand-alone comedy festival and the second-largest international comedy festival in the world. In 2018 the festival listed over 550 shows, 6,700 performances by 3,500 artists. Steve Hili has managed to secure a spot to be part of this festival with his stand-up show - Green Finger - after having been accepted by the prestigious venue - The Vault - to be part of their programme. The Vault is a sought-after venue in the heart of the city, owned and run by the management of Speakeasy HQ and the Apollo Theatre. He will be performing at the festival 13 times over March and April 2020 and after having performed this show in the Edinburgh fringe earlier this year he is very confident that it will hold its own in Melbourne. Part of his plan is to try to showcase his talents to top industry professionals in Australia in order to open up and explore further opportunities. Whilst in Melbourne he intends to network with other comedians and learn from them - not only artistically, but also learn how they tour their own shows. Trevor Borg has been invited to give talks and workshops in the UK: He has been invited to give a talk and a workshop by the University of Leeds (UK) related to practice-based artistic research in the context of science and technology. He will be discussing and demonstrating how science and technology can be used to make art and how novel creative opportunities emerge from such interdisciplinary collaborations. His focus will be specifically on 3D graphics and 3D printing technologies. He will explain how he uses 3D digital technology in his work and he will also be discussing and showing samples of his work that involve science and technology both on a conceptual and a practical level. This Festival is an excellent opportunity to interact and create networks with artists and scientists and it is hoped that through such networks future collaborations will emerge. He has also been invited to give a keynote speech at Land2 Seminar and a Pecha Kucha Presentation on 14th February 2020. The theme of the seminar and related events is centred on climate change. Land2 is an established international group of practising artists who are also academics seeking to develop hybrid methodologies appropriate for research and investigation into specific topics concerning them and the world they live in. As an aspiring curator with a background in architecture and cultural heritage management, the trip will allow Elyse to engage and exchange ideas with professionals and artists who have worked with various historic sites and unlocked their potential through contemporary art interventions. Throughout the visit, Elyse will also be meeting with the staff of University of Newcastle who had organised a conference related to the topic last July. The information and experiences gathered on this trip will facilitate understanding of the benefits and difficulties encountered when introducing contemporary art in a historic context with the potential of applying it on a local context. With so many underutilized and abandoned historic sites, contemporary art could help activate and expose them to a wider audience. The overall objective is to exchange experiences with the different teams, in order to develop opportunities locally, even through the potential collaboration with local NGOs related to cultural heritage. Project Title: “Immigration Crisis: The Musical” at Camden People's Theatre, London

“Immigration Crisis: The Musical” is a tongue-in-cheek devised musical which highlights the way in which immigrants and foreign cultures are portrayed in the media. It focuses on stereotypes, frequently asked questions, misconceptions and appropriation vs appreciation and all is accompanied with music, and movement. The setting for the piece is in the kitchen of a house that five women share. The story revolves around how these young house mates, having just moved in, navigate in this space and begin to understand one another. Their fears, tensions and misunderstandings are brought forward but are finally resolved at the dinner table. This piece is important to Prickly Pear Productions as they seek to tell the stories of minority ethnic groups through actors from all backgrounds in an attempt to spread awareness and share varied human experiences. The production looks at the tensions being fuelled by the media and its effect in a divided Brexit Britain. The show was originally commissioned by Migration Matters Festival Sheffield in July 2019, and after its success they have been invited to perform at the Camden People's Theatre London in April 2020.

This 3-day event held twice a year brings together the six major industries supplying materials and services to the global fashion industry and therefore this unique event brings together everything needed to make a ready to wear collection for leather goods to footwear and from design to manufacturing. The attendance at this type of event gives exposure to the designers to continue to refine their craft and assists them to find better materials to create their art, whilst building their networking list and furthering their exposure in the industry. This experience will also assist the designers to gain a better understanding of important issues that are affecting the fashion industry, such as sustainability and factors that are affecting the environment.

She will be conducting interviews and film a mini-documentary (20min). Through archival and artistic research, she will focus on two women photographers who ran their own studios in Malta in 1860s-1880s – Adelaide Conroy and Sarah Ann Harrison. Sarah Ann Harrison (nee Roberts) was born in Plymouth, England and later operated in a photographic studio in Boston, Lincolnshire, UK. Adelaide Conroy (nee Anceschi) was from Reggio Emilia, Italy. After several months of research in Malta, Evgletta will be exploring local archives, interview photographic researchers, historians and archivists in the UK and Italy, and take video footage on location to put their life stories into the context of their time.

The second concert will take place on the 13th March 2020 in Truro, Cornwall, as part of the Truro3Arts concert series - this concert is entitled 'Christine Zerafa and Friends' and will involve a full evening programme of piano quartets by Mahler, Mozart and Brahms. Christine will be collaborating with three fantastic string players, Alexandra Lomeiko (violin), Ana Teresa Alves (viola) and Timothée Botbol (cello). The third concert will involve a collaboration with BBC Young Musician finalist and winner of the woodwind category, Robert Burton (saxophonist), in a concert that will take place in Tickhill Music Society on the 24th April 2020.
