Project title: Saving Our Land by Keeping Our Roots
Amount Awarded: € 3,469

The students will apply their creativity playing with colours and using other shapes that connect to the cultural and architectural heritage of Malta. Stencil and stamp techniques will be used with special emphasis in using natural materials or using materials intended to be disposed of. The school group Bye Bye Plastic Bags will lead the discussion of the effect of plastic in the marine ecosystem and ways of reducing plastic consumption on the island. The produced designs will be printed on paper to form part of a school exhibition. Part of the finished bags will be shared between workshop participants while others will be sold to the school community to raise awareness for the effect of plastic bag in the marine ecosystem and to raise funds for the Environmental Club Bye Bye Plastic Bags.
