Last March, Charlotte Stafrace participated in a 2 day workshop in Edinburgh given by Anne Bastings, academic, theatre maker and creator of the award-winning storytelling technique known as TimeSlips.

This evidence-based tool, which is implemented world-wide in various care settings, offers an elegantly simple revolution in care for the elderly by infusing creativity into care relationships, aiming for improved well-being through creativity.

During the workshop, Charlotte was trained in how to use TimeSlips in care settings and how to use stories in diverse creative ways. A session also analysed how Ms. Bastings, together with an arts organisation and various stakeholders, conducted a theatre project over 2 years, based on Homer’s Odyssey, in a dementia care unit.

Stafrace's participation was made possible thanks to Arts Council Malta's Cultural Export Fund -Travel Grant.
