This project was the outcome of months of work which involved a production team including a director, a stage designer, stage managers, several actors and a publicity team. It was performed at Spazju Kreattiv in the first two weekends of March 2016.
The play celebrates four women patients imprisoned in a geriatric recovery unit who yearn to leave and reclaim their place in the world. They are let down by a rational society, their families, their bodies and the iron law of time itself. It is a comment on our inhumane society which institutionalises the aged, silences or dismisses their real desires while congratulating itself on the excellence of its care.
