Supported by the Creative Communities Fund

The target of our project was to involve young children and to pinpoint their creative talents through hands-on activities. Our project was based on proactive involvement type of learning with a group of youngsters who showed interest and applied for the course organised throughout October, November and December 2015. Their parents/guardians were encouraged to accompany the students during the course and invited to join for the educational outing organised as part of the course.

This project served as a great opportunity to boost the children’s talents as they discovered capabilities that they did not know they possessed. This project opened up imaginative doors to allow them to advance further in their artistic creativity. Hopefully, they can join voluntary organisations in which they can contribute by participating actively in various performances organised for the benefit of the community.

This was a very rewarding experience for our organisation as it gave us the opportunity to create a project we had long desired to materialise. This was only possible when Arts Council Malta launched this valuable initiative. Thanks to the Creative Communities funding, our programme for creative and artistic approach could be implemented. Encouraged with such a positive feedback and the good practice it stimulated in the young participants, we are committed to enhancing this project by proposing further courses of this type and even higher level courses to our youngsters.

As a conclusion, a musical concert was held at Montekristo Estates Arena, during which a multi-visual show was presented, depicting the course aims and pathway. At the same time, an exhibition of the works carried out by the students was held in the Foyer of the Arena.
