The audiobooks project Isma' l-Ktieb is being undertaken through 2016 by Merlin Publishers, with support from Il-Premju tal-President għall-Kreattività.

A range of audiobooks for children, in Maltese, are being professionally recorded and edited, with a team of actors under the artistic direction of Josette Ciappara. These will be made available free of charge to visually impaired children and anyone with reading difficulties. The books range from Maltese literature classics to more contemporary works.
