“Incizjoni - An Exhibition of Etchings” is a collection of works by 12 artists from the Etching Studio at the Malta School of Art.
The exhibition explores various visual themes, and presents the public with an array of etching techniques. The exhibited works offer an insight into the varied and complex techniques used in intaglio, where an impression is pulled from an image which has been bitten into a metal plate through the corrosive action of an acid.
This exhibition aims to offer a thorough understanding of this traditional printmaking technique, where design, creativity and technique complement each other.
