Adrian Scicluna participated in the 5th edition of the UNESCO Art Camp - “Colours of the Planet”, which was held from 18 to 28 July 2016 in Ordino, principality of Andorra.
This edition focused on the strategic issues of UNESCO, which are the promotion of peace, the protection of the environment, as well as the Convention on the Protection and promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
“...working side by side we would discuss techniques, concepts, contexts, concerns. The diverse backgrounds of the artists added to the experience and some of their personal situations in war-stricken locations such as Syria and Pakistan proved to be thought-provoking and emotionally engaging... The Andorran UNESCO Commission planned to take the works on a touring exhibition to Bruxelles UNESCO, to Paris UNESCO and to New York UNITED NATIONS in 2017.”
