A few weeks ago the band had announced that all of their equipment was stolen from their rehearsal space in Birkirkara.
The news was devastating to the band since the stolen equipment formed an essential part of their livelihood as musicians.
As a show of support to the hard work of artists - like this band - Arts Council Malta under the stewardship of the Chairman, Albert Marshall and with the full support of the Minister for Justice, Culture & Local Government, Owen Bonnici, decided to assist this band by funding part of the re-purchasing of the stolen equipment in an effort to help them overcome this unfortunate event.
“We are committed to the continuously improve the quality of life for artists who give so much for the development of our local culture not only by developing and ensuing policies and strategies that fulfil our obligation towards the artistic community at large but also by making sure that when similar unfortunate events occur we are present and supportive of the needs of artists,” said Albert Marshall.
Arts Council Malta constantly monitors the local artistic scene to ensure that similar and other occurrences do not pass unnoticed, fostering a much needed sense of community among artists in Malta in support of their efforts to further develop their talent both locally and overseas.
