The 2017 edition of Panorama Europe Film Festival —a unique showcase of seventeen of the latest contemporary European films including witty comedies, gritty thrillers, and timely documentaries took place in New York between May 5 and May 21. Amongst the film lineup was Do Re Mi Fa— a narrative drama set in Malta directed by Chris Zarb portraying the stories of four troubled characters: a children's party clown, an depressed and unhappy actress, a radio talk show DJ and a father about to get a career break.

Do Re Mi Fa received its US premiere screening on Sunday May 14th at the Museum of Moving Image (MOMI) in Queens New York and a second screening on Tuesday May 16th at the Bohemian National Hall in Manhattan New York. A Q &A followed each of the two screenings with director Chris Zarb and actors Sean O'Neil and Irene Christ. The Q & A ‘s were moderated by Eric Hynes, Associate Film curator at MOMI and by Dr. Barbara Karpetová, Director of the Czech Center in NY. An open discussion followed each Q&A wherein audience members posed many intriguing questions to the director Chris Zarb and the two actors.
Panorama Europe was coordinated by the European Union Delegation to the United Nations in partnership with the Czech Center New York /Bohemian National Hall. The 2017 Panorama Europe Film Festival presenting partners were the Arts Council Malta in New York, the Austrian Cultural Forum New York, the Balassi Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center New York, the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Estonia, the Consulate General of Portugal, the Consulate General of Slovakia, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, the Czech Center New York, the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations, Dutch Culture USA program by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, the General Representation of the Government of Flanders to the U.S.A., the Goethe-Institut New York, Instituto Cervantes, the Italian Cultural Institute, the Consulate General of Greece in New York and the Onassis Foundation USA, and the Polish Cultural Institute New York.
