The next ACMlab session will focus on project pitching.
Adrian Mamo, Nicole Parnis, Ruben Zahra and Nicole Bugeja will be delivering actual pitches to lab participants, who will be invited to interact with them following their presentations and will also, in tur, be invited to a second session in which they will be asked to perform their own pitches using the practical advice and pointers acquired during the upcoming session.
This lab session is meant to give participants insight into the preparation and delivery of a pitch to a variety of audiences and recipients, be it funders, potential sponsors or collaborators.
The session will be moderated by Lisa Gwen on behalf of ACM.

Nicole Parnis
Nicole Parnis is a fine art gallerist and freelance culture writer who specialises in online content for news platforms. Her articles range from fashion to food, music reviews and interviews to satire and humour, as well as tailored sponsored content for clients looking to market their products and services through the magic of social media.
Having started out in food marketing in London early on in her career before moving back to Malta, a personal food blog followed suit which led the way for freelance writing gigs at Lovin Malta, Guide Me Malta, Indulge, and music platform Trackage Scheme for which she also presents video interview content.
Ruben Zahra
Ruben Zahra is a composer and producer committed to contemporary interdisciplinary expression. His portfolio currently includes five ongoing productions that have been touring internationally since 2014 in major festivals, opera houses and theatres. Ruben Zahra studied at the University of Malta; Music Conservatory of Frosinone; the National Music Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome and Mills College in Oakland, California.
Ruben Zahra is also a cultural entrepreneur and promoter of contemporary music. He is director of the culture organisation ‘Soundscapes’, president of the ‘Malta Association for Contemporary Music’, publisher of ‘ENCORE’ – Malta’s arts & culture magazine and artistic director of the Malta International Arts Festival.

Nicole Bugeja
Nicole Bugeja is a public speaking and performance coach, a theatre performer and artistic director, and an academic practitioner. She coaches skills ranging from confidence building for public presentation, to healthy communication and team building. Since 2003 she has trained theatre with Icarus Performance Project (Malta), and has also practised with international theatre masters including in Italy, Poland and Sweden.
In 2013, she graduated with a PhD focused on Actor Training. Having returned from the UK where she was Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Chester, she now runs her practice of Coaching in Public Speaking and Performance. She is also Visiting Senior Lecturer within the School of Performing Arts at the University of Malta, where she keeps researching confidence building and mind training for creative flow.
Adrian Mamo
Adrian Mamo is an architect in private practice. He graduated in architecture and civil engineering from the University of Malta in 1989 and worked as architect at the Antiquities Section of the Works Department before setting up ARCHITECTS STUDIO in 1995 with three architect colleagues.
Adrian has designed theatre sets for over 50 productions for a number of local theatre companies and is a co-founder and producer of VOICES, one of Malta’s largest local music events held every two years since 1991. He was chairman of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts between 2006 and 2013 and is currently president of the Malta Society of Arts.
