Christian Debono

Stjanu Debono has been actively involved in the cultural industry since the age of 19, earning a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies, Performance, and Creativity from Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theatre Studies from the University of Malta. Since 2023, Stjanu has served as the inaugural artistic director of KampuSajf, a multidisciplinary arts festival offering a platform to several artistic communities within the Maltese Islands, produced and hosted by The Malta College of Arts, Science & Technology. He has also collaborated closely on prestigious festivals with various artistic directors, including Notte Bianca, the Valletta Baroque Festival, the Malta Jazz Festival, and the national theatre company Teatru Malta. Currently, Stjanu works with the national agency for festivals, Festivals Malta.

Stjanu is a versatile vocalist with a repertoire spanning the American Songbook, Brazilian music, and world music. Additionally, he is a member of the early music vocal ensemble The Abos Project.

In 2020, Stjanu curated an online project for the Żigużajg Festival, blending animation and music by arranging lullabies from diverse regions worldwide for a jazz quartet, which was later performed live. Two years later, in 2022, he participated in EthnoFonik in France, a multicultural musical exchange where he collaborated with musicians from around the world. Photo by Owen Michael Grech

 

Stefan Grech

Stefan has always been passionate about music and its power to connect people. He began learning the acoustic guitar at the age of 10, acquiring a foundation in music theory and practice under the guidance of Fr. Albert Borg. Stefan later transitioned to playing the electric guitar, expanding his musical repertoire and skills. Over the years, he collaborated with various bands, exploring a diverse range of genres from blues to heavy metal. In 2017, Stefan, alongside fellow musicians, co-founded the Maltese singing band SterjoTipi, marking a pivotal moment in his musical journey. Since then, he has continued to thrive as a dedicated and innovative artist.

 

Margerita Pulè

Margerita Pulè is a freelance curator, researcher and cultural manager, and is founder-director of Unfinished Art Space, an independent and nomadic space showing contemporary art in Malta. Her curatorial practice is political, feminist, and collaborative, and encompasses diverse disciplines and spheres. Unfinished Art Space is currently concluding two Creative Europe projects with partners across Europe; Figure It Out led by the Croatian organisation Drugo More, and MagiC Carpets Platform, a network led by Kaunas Biennial in Lithuania.

In 2024, Margerita was one of four practitioners awarded Arts Council Malta’s first Sabbatical for Artistic Research, and through this grant is currently researching curatorial methodologies outside of traditional exhibition contexts. She is also currently a researcher with the Department of Digital Art at the University of Malta. She is also a founder-member of the Magna Żmien Foundation, which digitises 20th century analogue home archives, forming a community archive accessible to researchers and artists.

Margerita is also an educator, teaching career development to art students, and is a trainer with the Creative & Social Entrepreneur Programme (CASE Malta), commissioned by Arts Council Malta, and produced by In Place of War. She was previously a researcher on the Horizon 2020 project Acting on the Margins Arts as Social Sculpture (AMASS), measuring the impacts of socially engaged art practice.
