Arts Council Malta in collaboration with Festivals Malta and the Festivals Academy of the European Festivals Association will present an ACMlab session for artists who would like to know more how to present and export their work on an international platform
Luiz Coradazzi, Robyn Archer & Brett Pyper will be the three international cultural managers and artistic directors invited for this session to discuss and give advice on how to be successful when pitching your projects abroad and how to market yourself as a global freelance artist.
Luiz Coradazzi
Luiz Coradazzi is a Brazilian Cultural manager based in Sao Paulo and active internationally. Graduated in Marketing and Communications, post-Graduated in Cultural Policy Management (University of Girona), and Master in Music Business Management (University of Westminster), Luiz has been working in the Culture & Society sectors for 21 years as a planner, producer, fundraiser, programmer and advocate. He has worked as a manager and consultant with several institutions and projects including the Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, TV Cultura, Time 4 Fun, Inhotim, Universal Music, and the Heliópolis Youth Orchestra. Robyn Archer
Robyn Archer is Singer, writer, creator and Artistic Director The Light in Winter Festival, former Artistic Director of the National Festival of Australian Theatre (Canberra), The Adelaide and Melbourne Festivals, Ten Days on the Island, public advocate for the arts, Chair Board of HOTA, Home of the Arts, Gold Coast – Australia. She is an acknowledged exponent of classic European cabaret, Robyn currently tours three recital programs of cabaret material: Que-Reste-t’Il (French), Dancing on the Volcano (German) and The Other Great American Songbook (American songs from the Left). In March 2019 Robyn released her latest album of French and German songs Robyn Archer: Classic Cabaret Rarities on the Undercover Music label of Rouseabout Records. Brett Pyper
Brett Pyper is Associate Professor and Head of School at University of the Witwatersrand School of the Arts, a cultural practitioner, arts administrator, festival director, music researcher and academic. He began his career as an arts administrator and facilitator of developmental music projects during the transition from apartheid, before taking up a Fulbright scholarship to study in the US, where he was based for six years (1998 – 2004). He holds Master’s degrees from Emory University (in Public Culture) and New York University (in Ethnomusicology and Popular Music Studies), and is currently writing a doctoral dissertation on contemporary jazz culture in South Africa. This ACMlab session will take place on Tuesday 26th March at 18:30 at the Malta Postal Museum on 135, Archbishop Street, Valletta.
