Arts Council Malta requires the services of a driver/messenger

Qualifications & Experience Required:

 o    Valid and clean driver’s licences B, B+E, C, C1, D, D+E with a satisfactory driving record is a must, with six years' experience in a related job;
o    Computer literate – internet and email;
o    School leaving certificate is a must;
o    It’s a must that applicant has a valid security licence;
o    It’s a must that the valid applicant has good knowledge both spoken and written of English, Maltese and Italian;
o    Smart appearance and reliability.

Competencies:

o    Must be able to interact with the general public in a courteous, professional manner;
o    A commitment to customer service and quality management;
o    Ability to communicate in Maltese and English;
o    Be able to perform general manual duties as required from time to time.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Responsibilities

  • To transport mail and other urgent and / or confidential material to locations identified by request;
  • To collect items from client locations;
  • To register outgoing mail and deliver it to the post office;
  • To drive staff members to location for business purposes as appropriate;
  • To carry out basic maintenance and logistical work on the entity’s premises;
  • To perform other duties as may be assigned;
  • To be able to perform general manual duties as required from time to time.

Contribution to decisions taken by others

  • Recommends changes to procedures and work methods.
  • Recommends changes to the maintenance of the Office Premises.

Supervision Received

Reports to the Administration and HR Executive and receives specific instructions on tasks to be completed.

 Working Conditions

Operating a car or van, with possible requirement to provide support at unusual hours.
