Arts Council Malta is seeking to engage the services of an individual as a Manager (Funds Administration) to work within the Council's Funding Team. The Manager (Funds Administration) will assist the Director (Funding & Strategy) and Head (Funding) in the administration of ACM's Funding portfolio.

General Responsibilities

The duties of the selected bidder are, but not limited to,:

To be responsible for the timely and correct processing of requests for procurement of goods and services, obtaining quotes, verifications, recording, tracking and reconciliation;

To be responsible for the correctness of bookkeeping and other financial documents, including performing work on the Funds Disbursement sheets reconciliation process;

To be responsible for maintaining physical files up-to-date regularly;

To issue the claims for funds through established mechanisms;

To contributes and assist the Head (Funding) in the compilation of various reports;

To handle transactions with relevant stakeholders;

To ensure that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures;

To receive and process invoices for procurement of goods and services, and issue request for payments and ensure that payments are effected in a timely manner;

To ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and administration documentation;

To undertake any other tasks, which superiors may delegate to him/her, as may be required;

To assist any other duties within the Funding and Strategy Unit as needed from time to time;

Any other duties as directed by the Director (Funding & Strategy) and Executive Chairman.

Qualifications & Experience

 

Candidates must be:

  • in possession of a recognised Bachelor's degree at MQF Level 6 (subject to a minimum of 180 ECTS/ECVE credits or equivalent*) in Business Management, Business Administration or a recognised comparable professional qualification at MQF Level 6 in Administration.

 

Competencies:

 

Ability to work under pressure and solve problems when appropriate. Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to work autonomously with little supervision. A willingness to learn and expand knowledge.

 

 

Contract

The selected candidate will be awarded a three (3) year Contract for Service, with the possibility to renew for a further period of one (1) year, depending on his/her performance.

Answerable to the Executive Chair and Director (Funding & Strategy) of Arts Council Malta, operating with flexible hours to meet the demands and requirements of the position. The chosen candidate will be required to work within the rules and regulations of the Malta Public Service.

The remuneration is of EUR30,885 (excluding VAT but including any other taxes or charges) per year. In addition, for the duration of the contract, the Service Provider shall receive an end of year Performance Bonus up to a maximum of 10% at the discretion of the Management.

Payment will be processed monthly by Arts Council Malta on receipt of an invoice with a valid VAT number.
