The Cultural & Spiritual Association “KORAIS” will organize the 12th World Choir Festival on Musical on May 5,6,&7, 2023, into the Ceremony Hall of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The Festival will take place under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. It is a unique cultural institution in the world in terms of its theme and innovation. The Festival since its inception has been dedicated to Peace, Friendship, Cooperation, Fellowship and Solidarity among people. Thus, in addition to a massive and qualified festival, at the same time, it aspires to serve the above principles and values that are of great concern to citizens all over the world.
In previous years, the Festivals were distinguished for the high degree of organization, the quality of the choirs, since they were the only Festivals in Greece that evaluated the choirs before accepting them as well as for the mass participation of spectators. The Festival addresses all categories of choirs as well as all types of repertoire and is divided into competitive and non–competitive sections. Choirs that stand out in the Competition Part will receive cash prizes starting at €1,000, while all choirs will receive a golden olive branch as a souvenir of the 12th World Choir Festival on Musical. Finally, all choristers will receive a commemorative certificate of participation.
