In Autumn 2018, IETM Munichgathered 468 performing arts professionals from across the globe for lively discussions around the theme Res Publica Europa, with a special focus on diversityparticipation and the future.

A lot has changed since then, the face of the world was literally transformed by COVID-19, and the need to look at these topics afresh should bring us new insights, especially in light of the current pandemic.

Two years later, in partnership with Meta Theater, we are taking you back to Munich to assess the impacts generated by the Plenary, discuss current challenges faced by the German performing arts community and collectively look into the future.

Whether you participated in IETM Munich or are an interested newcomer, we invite you to join this day devoted to discussing, networking and sharing ideas in an informal setting. Happening during the independent dance and theatre Rodeo festival, On the Road Munich will also offer participants the opportunity to discover some inspiring local performances.

To ensure equal access to the event, the morning session of the physical On the Road Munich will be live-streamed. In the event of a second wave of COVID-19 imposing travel restrictions or event bans, the meeting will be held entirely digitally. If you have questions, please contact our local partner at on-the-road@meta-theater.com.

The meeting is open to both members and non-members. Participation is free but registration is required for either the physical or digital event. You can check the preliminary programme here.
