Arts Council Malta is seeking to recruit an Executive - Agencies and Foundation to form part of its team on a full-time basis.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Candidates must be in possession of a recognized Postgraduate Masters degree MQF Level 7 in Law, Communications, Public Administration, Business Management, Arts or related subject and two (2) years’ experience in a managerial role.
OR
- Candidates must in possession of a recognized first degree MQF Level 6 in Law, Communications, Public Administration, Business Management, Arts or related subject and four years’ experience in a managerial role.
AND
- In-depth knowledge of cultural policy, creative industries and the creative economy.
- Proven ability to manage a matrix environment, collaborate across multiple departments and influence all levels within an organization.
- An understanding of Government policy, procurement, as well as incentives and the legislation relating to the CCS.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with a variety of collaborators and stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate in both Maltese and English with excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to deliver ACM’s initiatives vision.
- Capable of working both independently and within a team, with an attention to detail.
Competencies:
- Researching the legal identity of each Public Cultural Organisation (PCO) in view of designing a legal level playing field for all the PCO’s concerned. Designing a sound mapping of the revised identities of the PCOs, including legal revision required.
- Communicating to the respective PCO’s a clear understanding of these legal identities and their implications in relation to their relationship with Arts Council Malta.
- Installing a culture of inter-PCO communication and coordination. This will be done by setting monthly meetings with a clear agenda planned with ACM’s Executive Chairperson, Director Strategy and Funds, and Director Corporate Affairs and following up on the various actions arising.
- Coordinating an Audience Development Strategy together with the different PCOs with the assistance of ACM's Research Executive.
- Aiding the PCOs in coordinating the annual cultural events calendar of the PCOs with the target of avoiding similar events happening on the same dates.
- Liaising on behalf of ACM with Ministerial Officials to contribute to a better understanding of its obligations especially with regards to the PCO’s that fall under its umbrella.
Salary Information:
- S1 Basis Salary: Maximum Grade 5 of Arts Council Salary & Grading Structure:€28,081
- Annual Increase: €808
- Maximum Salary: €28,081
- Performance: Up to 10% (€28,808.1)
- Disturbance Allowance of up to 15% (€4,212.15)
- Total Benefits: €7,020.25
- Current Year Recurrent Expenditure: €35,101.25
