Compendium

Compendium exhibition by Moira Zahra is now open at Tent Gallery Evolution House Edinburgh.

Music for everyone

A project aimed at introducing in Malta the Kodaly approach to music education: “teach(ing) music… in such a way that is not a torture but a joy for the pupil; instill(ing) a thirst for finer music in him, a thirst which will last for lifetime.” In 2016, the method was inscribed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Thirst

Thirst started with a series of walks, collecting the few relics found scattered around the island. They silently scream on the limestone in revolt against the continuing development on our island. As the rock is constructed, the memories are deconstructed. The performance intimates the invisible and using the body as a place of carrying memory, it explores the thirst for the feeling of home.
