- What is this about?
Arts Council Malta has launched a Specialised Local Training Programme for Malta’s Cultural and Creative Sectors as part of the ESF+.03.243 project “Strengthening Malta’s Cultural and Creative Sectors through Lifelong Learning”.
Co-financed by the European Social Fund+ 2021-2027, this training aims to support lifelong learning, professional development and capacity-building across Malta’s cultural and creative ecosystem.
The Programme offers free accredited training delivered locally through a series of modules covering three specialised training areas:
- Right to Culture
- Sustainability
- Creative Entrepreneurship
- Who is it for?
The Call is open under three strands:
- Strand 1: Public Sector Employees
- Strand 2: Independent Cultural and Creative Professionals
- Strand 3: Employees of Private-Sector or Non-Government Cultural Organisations
Participation in the training is free of charge in all the 3 Strands.

- Certification
Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and may also opt to obtain an accredited certificate for each successfully completed module.
Participants who successfully complete all accredited modules at a particular MQF level will be eligible for an Award qualification.
- Training venue
Training sessions will be delivered in person at The Brewhouse, Mdina Road, Birkirkara. Light refreshments will be provided during the training sessions.
- Entry Requirements
There are no mandatory pre-requisites for participation. Applicants may apply for modules at any MQF level and are encouraged to select modules that are most appropriate to their professional background, experience and learning objectives.
Modules may be followed independently and participation in lower-level modules is not required before enrolling in higher-level modules.
- Applications
Applicants may apply for one or more modules, subject to availability.
Each module has a maximum capacity of 50 participants and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to eligibility.
Please note: Applications are currently open only for the Right to Culture training area. Applications for Sustainability and Creative Entrepreneurship will open at a later date.
- Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted at least 14 calendar days before the start date of the selected module to allow sufficient time for eligibility verification and, where applicable, the processing required by MCAST for participants wishing to pursue accredited certification. As each module has a limited capacity of 50 participants, early application is strongly recommended.
Applications received after this deadline may still be considered, subject to the availability of places and the completion of any required eligibility and administrative procedures. However, late applicants may not be eligible to pursue accredited certification if there is insufficient time to complete the necessary processing requirements.
Applications will not be accepted once the module has commenced.
