Síle Culley, a leading international expert in Audience Design, will be giving an open masterclass on the subject, ahead of her week-long residential workshop in Valletta. Audience Design is the process of identifying and understanding the target audience for a film – looking beyond broad demographics to what really connects an audience to a story.

Drawing on her experience in Distribution, and a stint in Exhibition, Síle will look at how the Audience Design methodology can support feature film projects across the value chain – with public funders as much as with paying audiences – and as early as late Development.
Participants will come away with a couple of practical tips they can apply directly to their own projects. This is a 45-minute lunchtime session, with 15 minutes for questions at the end.
