Supported by Cultural Export Fund - Translation Grant

Walid Nabhan successfully translated a selection of Karl Schembri's poems into Arabic. Most of these poems are taken from Karl Schembri’s published collections ‘Passju Taħt ix-Xita’ and ‘Remember the Future’. During the process of the translation Walid was assisted by the Palestinian journalist Hana Salah and the well known Palestinian poet Najwan Darwish.  The Arab writer, Sidel Bishtawi also enriched the text with his wide knowledge of Arabic grammar and constructive critique. The poetry collection has been published by Sefsafa Publishing House and is currently being distributed in Arab countries. The book has already been addressed by a leading Arab newspaper and by Aljazeera Channel, considered to be one of the widest broadcasters in the Arab world.
