Darbtejn Insiru Tfal addresses the reality of an ageing population in Birgu. The project is set to foster greater intergenerational awareness, integration and solidarity, wider cultural participation.
The aim of the project was to bring together children and elderly people and together discover how youth was experienced when compared to nowadays.
"Both the children and the elderly worked very well together. Funnily enough we discovered that the elderly were more looking forward and more enthusiastic to such project. However we are very happy with the result in the sense that we've managed to close the intergenerational gap that exists in our city of Birgu, being that this is an ageing city" said Glenn Agius, Project Founder.
This project shall be part of the Birgufest activities being held in October.
