Artist Kristina Borg has been selected and invited to participate in a four-week production residency as part of the 'acePIRAR 2019 International Program at Fundación 'ace para el Arte Contemporaneo, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The residency took place in September - October 2019, concluding with an exhibition, organised by the same organisation. The ́acePIRAR / Artist in Residence International Program, with a special focus on printmaking, is one of the major projects developed by Fundación 'ace para el Arte Contemporaneo.
Fundación 'ace is a non-profit organisation that encourages the professional development of artists in the field of contemporary art, and it focuses on innovative practices and international cultural exchange together with community development initiatives. The foundation serves as a bridge to link foreign artists with artists from Buenos Aires and other Argentinian provinces.
During the residency period Kristina Borg worked on a series of prints, utilising the photolithography printmaking technique, while also explored the silk aquatint technique.
