Job Description
Arts Council Malta (ACM) is seeking to engage the services of an Executive (Funds) to work closely with ACM’s Head (Funding) and the Funding team within Arts Council Malta.
General Responsibilities
The duties of the selected candidates are to include, but not limited to:
- To be responsible for the timely and correct processing of requests for procurement of goods and services, obtaining quotes, verifications, recording, tracking and reconciliation.
- To be responsible for the correctness of bookkeeping and other financial documents, including performing work on the Funds Disbursement sheets reconciliation process.
- To be responsible for maintaining physical files up-to-date regularly.
- To issue the claims for funds through established mechanisms.
- To contributes and assist the Head (Funding) in the compilation of various reports.
- To handle transactions with relevant stakeholders.
- To ensure that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
- To receive and process invoices for procurement of goods and services, issue requests for payments and ensure that payments are effected in a timely manner.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and administration documentation.
- To undertake any other tasks, which superiors may delegate to him/her, as may be required.
- To assist any other duties within the Funding and Strategy Unit as needed from time to time.
- Any other duties as directed by the Director (Funding & Strategy) and Executive Chairman.
- Assist in developing and managing ACM’s marketing and communications strategy to strengthen and maintain ACM’s reputation as a proactive, visionary and compassionate leader in Malta’s cultural and creative sectors.
Qualifications
Candidates must be in possession of:
- A Master’s qualification at MQF Level 7 (subject to a minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent, with regard to programmes commencing as from October 2008) in Business Management, Business Administration or a recognised comparable professional qualification at MQF Level 6 in Administration plus one (1) year relevant work experience.
OR
- A Bachelor’s qualification at MQF Level 6 (subject to a minimum of 180 ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent, with regard to programmes commencing as from October 2003) in Business Management, Business Administration or a recognised comparable professional qualification at MQF Level 6 in Administration plus three (3) years relevant work experience.
And must have as well the
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems when appropriate.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work autonomously with little supervision.
- A willingness to learn and expand knowledge.

Contract and Salary Information
The selected candidates will enter into a full-time employment contract on an indefinite basis. The salary paid will be of a basic salary of €32,008 in 2025 (Grade 5 of the Art Council Malta’s Grading and salary Structure), a Disturbance Allowance of up to 15% per annum and a Performance Bonus of up to 10% per annum.
