Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, has launched the guidelines and regulations for the Artistic Heritage Scheme 2025. This scheme will continue to support cultural and social organisations in Malta and Gozo working voluntarily to strengthen and preserve Maltese festival traditions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This scheme covers three main categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Band Societies and Festa Musical Societies \u2013 up to \u20ac8,000 per eligible entity;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Health and safety in firehouses \u2013 up to \u20ac5,000* per eligible entity;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Semi-permanent artistic installation \u2013 up to \u20ac5,000 per eligible entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*Organisations using firehouses that are not their property can benefit from up to a maximum of \u20ac2,500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Owen Bonnici stressed the importance of this scheme in further strengthening Maltese cultural heritage. \u201cThe Maltese feast is part of our identity. Through this scheme we are investing directly in those organisations that \u2013 through their work \u2013\u00a0 preserve and enhance the beauty of our feasts while increasing safety and strengthening their cultural infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Head of Funds at Arts Council Malta, Rita Falzon, said \u201cThis scheme is designed to provide the necessary support to organisations that dedicate their time to promoting and keeping alive the artistic and musical traditions associated with Maltese festivals. We encourage eligible organisations to apply and benefit from this fund.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Applications for the first call of the scheme will be received until 1 April 2025. Results are expected to be announced on 8 May 2025. Applications for the second call will be open until 7 October 2025. Results are expected to be announced on 13 November 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
