{"id":8815,"date":"2025-02-14T08:50:21","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T08:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artscouncilmalta.gov.mt\/?p=8815"},"modified":"2025-08-29T03:18:26","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T01:18:26","slug":"become-an-artivist-new-programme-for-young-artists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artscouncilmalta.gov.mt\/en\/become-an-artivist-new-programme-for-young-artists\/","title":{"rendered":"Become an Artivist: new programme for young artists"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ARTIVISTI is a new programme that will identify some of the best young talent across the arts and provide them with the necessary training, mentoring and networking to develop further their creative potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his opening address during the launch of programme at the \u017bfinMalta studios, Minister for Culture Owen Bonnici said that \u2018this programme builds on the achievements of previous years and it will tap into a nourishing pool of outstanding talent and help achieve the highest quality targets\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected artists will be awarded a package of benefits and opportunities for a year. These include a grant of \u20ac2,000 for their personal creative development, the services of a professional mentor to support them in their artistic career, participation in an artist-in-residency and networking opportunities with other \u2018Artivisti\u2019. They will also become members of the Artivisti alumni community to support other upcoming artists in the forthcoming editions of the programme. 89.7 Bay, being the ideal partner for this project due to its strong reach and involvement with today\u2019s youth, will also be promoting the selected artists and updating its listeners with the work of the&nbsp;<em>Artivisti.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018The programme is an addition to Arts Council Malta\u2019s community exchange portfolio designed to provide young movers and shakers in the arts with the opportunity to unleash their full potential and be the inspiration in the creative sectors\u2019, said Albert Marshall, Executive Chairman of Arts Council Malta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaboration between Arts Council Malta and A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127 bridges together the implementation of the National Youth Policy and the Council\u2019s Create2020 Strategy, with a particular focus on providing more opportunities for people to engage in creativity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Artivisti&nbsp;<\/em>accompanies other empowerment programmes by A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127 such as Ta\u0127ziz, Divergent Thinkers, and music training for young&nbsp;<em>bandisti<\/em>, which the Agency has been offering for the past years giving young people further opportunities in the arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Clifton Grima, Parliamentary Secretary for Youths, Sports and Voluntary Organisations welcomed the collaboration between the two public entities and 89.7 Bay. \u2018<em>Artivisti&nbsp;<\/em>will provide a space for young people to challenge peers and communicate the significance of their creative expression to the wider community.
