Premju G\u0127all-Arti 2025 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To mark its 10th anniversary, Arts Council Malta (ACM) is inviting artistic proposals for three distinct new performing arts pieces to be showcased during the Premju g\u0127all-Arti (Arts Awards) evening. The performances will take place on the main stage of Teatru Manoel (Annex A) in December 2025. Each selected performance will be awarded a fee of up to \u20ac6,000 (excluding VAT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The artistic proposals should creatively interpret ACM\u2019s past 10 years in Strategy, Funding, and Internationalisation, reflecting its journey, achievements, and impact on the local and international arts scene. Artists are encouraged to explore innovative, multidisciplinary, and engaging approaches to storytelling through performance. In light of the overarching theme of cultural rights and the significant shifts in Malta\u2019s arts landscape over the past decade, proposals should consider the following key aspects: Cultural Rights: Reflect on how ACM has championed the right to culture for all citizens, emphasizing the importance of accessibility and participation in the arts. Artistic proposals should aim to highlight the diverse voices and narratives that have emerged from ACM\u2019s initiatives, fostering a sense of belonging and community engagement. Sustainability and Resilience: Draw from the challenges faced during the pandemic and the subsequent recovery of the cultural sector. Proposals should creatively express resilience and adaptability, showcasing how artists have navigated these unprecedented times to forge new pathways for artistic expression and community connection. International Connections: Explore how ACM\u2019s internationalisation efforts have enriched Malta\u2019s cultural ecology. Proposals could address the cross-cultural exchanges, collaborations, and partnerships that have emerged, celebrating the global dialogue that has influenced local practices. Multidisciplinary Approaches: Encourage artists to push the boundaries of traditional performance by incorporating various art forms, such as visual arts, digital media, and technology. This multidisciplinary approach will not only enhance storytelling but also reflect the diverse methodologies ACM has supported throughout its ten-year journey. Future Vision: Invite artists to envision the future of the arts in Malta, considering the lessons learned over the past decade. Proposals should encapsulate aspirations for the next chapter of cultural development, encouraging innovative ideas that resonate with ACM\u2019s mission to foster a thriving creative ecology. The aim is thus to present performances that not only commemorate ACM\u2019s past but also inspire future artistic endeavours, positioning the arts as a vital component of Malta\u2019s cultural identity and societal well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who can apply? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Applicants must qualify as one of the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Creative professionals\/individual artists; Entities registered with the Malta Business Registry (including companies, partnerships, foundations, and organisations\/associations); Groups, collectives, and consortia; Registered cooperatives; Voluntary organisations enrolled with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Deadline to apply: 6th June 2025 at noon CET (12:00).
