The aim is to encourage students and educators to engage with the creative and cultural sectors and to explore innovative pedagogical approaches for the application of the arts in schools. The scheme is also in line with Arts Council Malta\u2019s objective of advocating for a broader inclusion of creativity and the arts in education strengthening further 21st century education and skills.<br><br>The scheme encourages collaborations between an educational institution and a creative practitioner<br>for each project.<br><br>The objectives of the scheme are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To bring creative practitioners into schools and education institutions to work with educators<br>and students to inspire, learn and create in a collaborative and innovative way<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To support projects that engage with the schools\u2019 local community and the Maltese artistic<br>scene<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To support projects which complement the curriculum for early years up to secondary<br>education and strive to add value to the learning experience and to the institutions\u2019<br>environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To champion innovation and collaboration across fields and encourage students to push the<br>boundaries of creative arts within post-secondary and tertiary institutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To encourage collaboration between educational institutions, the culture and creative<br>industries, and other relevant sectors such as science and technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are required to consider the <a href=\"https:\/\/artscouncilmalta.gov.mt\/resources\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/artscouncilmalta.gov.mt\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Right to Culture \u2013 Resource Pack<\/a> when developing their<br>proposal in relation to how they engage with communities and the considerations of everyone\u2019s<br>cultural rights in their work. The resource pack is aimed at increasing awareness regarding inclusivity<br>and supporting the implementation of cultural rights in our day-to-day practice.<br><br>Applicants are also required to consider the <a href=\"https:\/\/artscouncilmalta.gov.mt\/resources\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/artscouncilmalta.gov.mt\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Charter for the Status of the Artist<\/a> when proposing their<br>operational and programming activities to ensure acceptable and decent working conditions for artists<br>and creative practitioners which embraces artistic freedom, accessibility, formal\/informal\/non-formal<br>skill recognition, decent socio-economic conditions, non-discrimination and equity, ethical<br>considerations and adherence to intellectual property rights and international labour law.
