Launch of a call for proposals for original musicals in Maltese to be produced between 2022 and 2026

Arts Council Malta, together with the Mediterranean Conference Centre, have issued a call for the production of original musicals in the Maltese language which will be performed live between July and August of every year for a period of five years (2022-2026). This was announced by Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government José Herrera together with Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Clayton Bartolo.

Premju Għall-Arti 2021 rewards Resilience and Courage

Arts Council Malta has announced the winners of the special edition of Premju għall-Arti, with the aim of celebrating the resilience of the cultural and creative sectors. Premju għall-Arti recognizes excellence achieved by artists and creatives despite the challenges brought about by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

16 cultural and creative programmes awarded €433,333 as part of the RESTART Schemes 2021 by Arts Council Malta

€433,333 are being awarded to 16 different cultural and creative programmes as part of the RESTART Schemes 2021 managed by Arts Council Malta. The creation of this scheme derived from the additional €1 million special investment by the government announced during the last budget, further strengthening this government’s commitment towards a robust recovery of the cultural and creative sectors.
