On a deeper level, though, it’s about how polarized things can get when people no longer agree on what is and isn’t real – which is pretty much the world we’re living in today.

This next chapter will expand to further areas within Queensland, New South Wales & Victoria. Through intimate storytelling and a warm visual style the series continues to explore themes of identity, belonging & cultural memory. L-Aħwa fl-Awstralja offers strong international appeal, educational value and emotional depth. It keeps the Maltese story alive across generations & borders.

The programme will also promote the use of the Maltese language.
Fuq l-Istess Paġna will include:
– A biography* of the featured author/poet;
– A feature* about the chosen book;
– Snippets/Readings from the book;
– Interviews with featured author/poet;
– Comments by the featured book’s illustrator/photographer/other professional.
*Both using 2.5D animation
The writing style, language and jargon used in the book will be dissected. An Advisory Board will select featured books including new books launched during the National Book Festival. Thus, Fuq l-Istess Paġna will also promote the festival accordingly.
